We are well aware that we carry a heavy burden of social responsibility while pursuing operational growth. Therefore, in addition to achieving operational growth, we uphold the belief of "taking from the society and contributing to the society" to organize various social participation activities regarding "education and culture", "environmental sustainability" and "social care" in the hope to integrate the resources of the Company and employees to bring positive power and common good to the society.

 

Education can promote social mobility and make our next generation more competitive.Through investment of education resources and the implementation of industrial-academic collaboration projects in 2022, we hope that this could bring the future masters of the country more opportunities for development.

 

Held the "Career Exploration Journey" Event with Boyo Social Welfare Foundation

The Boyo Social Welfare Foundation has been committed to eliminating inherent inequalities and providing sufficient learning resources and opportunities for children from rural and underprivileged families, helping them become self-reliant and escape poverty.In 2022, our company collaborated with the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation to organize the "Career Exploration Journey" event, aiming to utilize our resources to help middle school students understand the diversity and essence of various professions, inspiring them to envision their future careers.This year's Career Exploration event consisted of a total of 16 sessions. 8 volunteers from different departments of our company served as speakers, delivering their presentations through remote video conferencing. Interactive activities such as quizzes with prizes were conducted to engage with the children. Through these activities, students had the opportunity to interact with our company's volunteers and gain insights into the job responsibilities and skill requirements of various professions.A total of 270 participants took part in the activities this semester, preparing themselves for future career choices.

Responding to the Puren Youth Care Foundation's "Computer Recycling and Donation Program."

The Puren Youth Care Foundation has always been dedicated to the motto of "Caring for Youth, Inspiring Youth to Care for Society, Creating a Cycle of Goodness." They are committed to helping children from underprivileged families and providing support to ensure their smooth educational journey, thus empowering them to transform their future.In 2022, due to the widespread outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government implemented remote learning as a response to the changing situation. This approach aimed to ensure continuous education despite the suspension of in-person classes. However, for children from underprivileged families, acquiring the necessary remote learning tools posed a significant challenge in maintaining their regular learning routine.Therefore, our company took action by responding to the computer donation campaign initiated by the Puren Youth Care Foundation. We selected suitable second-hand laptops from within the company that were no longer in use and provided them to the assisted children. This initiative aimed to help them overcome the challenge of lacking learning resources during the pandemic and enable them to engage in remote learning.

Promotion of Collaboration Between Industrial and Academic Sectors

The Company values the internal training of employees and is concerned about cultivation of hi-tech talents in Taiwan. We have participated in the “Reshaping Technological-Vocational Education - Realize off-campus Internship Programs” of the Ministry of Education over the past years.To facilitate the industrial-academic collaboration, we developed a trilateral cooperation guidance mechanism to help students deal with problems during their internship with the helpline for guidance, interviews, regular meetings, etc.In 2022, 28 students participated in the internship program of the Company (16 student in the academic year of 2021 and 12 students in the academic year of 2022).Six of them transit to full-time positions in our company after completing their internships, achieving seamless integration between academia and the workplace.
