Occupational Safety and Health Management System

The Company is concerned about the safety and health of the employees at the workplace. In addition to following relevant laws and regulations, we have established an occupational health and safety management system to implement preventive measures and workplace accident prevention through risk assessments and continuous improvement, ensuring the well-being and safety of our employees.


All the plants of the Company in Taiwan have passed the certification of occupational safety and health management system (ISO 45001:2018). The Hsinchu Plant (Li-Hsin Plant/Prosperity Plant) and Hukou Plant (Kuang-Fu Plant) have acquired the third-party certificate of Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System (CNS 45001:2018). The management system is applicable to all the employees within the plants. The employees of the contracted suppliers working in any of the plants are subject to the contract separately, the scope of safety and hygiene audits conducted by the safety personnel includes all employees and contractors within the organization.


In addition, the Company improves the safety at the plants and the awareness of the risk management among the employees by implementing internal and external activities as well as regular educational training and dissemination with respect to prevention of occupation accidents, health management, and promotion of health to protect the assets of the Company.

The Company has an ESH unit in charge of the environment, safety and health management matters. For effective implementation of the occupational safety and health policies and environmental protection matters, the Company establishes the “Environment, Safety, and Health Management Committee” (or ESH Management Committee in short) as per the Occupational Safety and Health Act. The Committee holds a meeting every quarter and the President acts as the management representative and preside over the meeting personally.The Committee performs the P (Plan), D (Do), C (Check), A (Action) cycle to systematically establish and plan different operation control actions and create a safe and healthy working environment.


The 2022 ESH Management Committee held four meetings. It had 20 labor representatives, occupying one-third of all the Committee members. At the meeting, the Committee members represent the employees to discuss with the management over the issues of, among others, environmental monitoring, audit, educational training of safety and health, prevention of hazards, promotion of health, and contractor management, and perform continuous improvement for the identified problems.
