Healthy Workplace

Healthy body and mind are the basis for the sense of well-being. The Company is committed to create healthy workplaces in the hope to implement the idea of health and preventive healthcare in the daily life of the employees. All the plants in Taiwan have passed the “Badge of Accredited Healthy Workplace” certification of the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, and acquired the health promotion badge.

Health Management

The Company sets up a medical room for each plant and professional medical personnel provide a variety of medical services for the employees.The Company also installs an employee health management system. Employees can use the system to search for historical physical examination records and health promotion and medical service information, or make a reservation for on-site health advice.All the employees can enjoy one free physical examination every year. Follow-up and health management actions will be taken once the result shows any abnormalities.In addition, the Company takes actions for prevention of overwork-triggered diseases as well as ergonomic hazard prevention management and maternal health protection at the workplace to provide comprehensive healthcare for employees.

First-aid Equipment (AED)

The heart disease was ranked the second among the first ten causes of death announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in recent years.As the literature indicated, for the cardiac arrest resulting from sudden arrhythmia, the success rate of first aid is up to 90% if defibrillation is applied within one minute.AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) provides this function. It can automatically detect the heart rate and pulse of injured or ill individuals and deliver a shock to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), restoring a normal heartbeat.Being light, easy to use, and delivered with an attached graphic and voice operation guide, the equipment is helpful for the first-aid personnel at the plant to take actions and strive for more first-aid time to save the life of the patient.The AED equipment has been set up at all the six plants in 2021 in the hope that it could be used as a tool to save life in the emergency circumstances in which an employee sustained heart attack and fell down. In 2022, a total of 108 individuals completed training courses in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment usage, enhancing the company's internal emergency response procedures.

Employee Assistance Program ( EAP )

Chipbond finds that the Company shall give a hand and show sincerer care to the employee who encounters difficulty in different aspects of life. For this, the Company establishes the "Employee Assistance Program (EAP)".EAP provides services including emergency assistance, family support and assistance in work, and helps employees overcome the difficulties in the work, living and health by means of assistance, guidance, or referral.

Provide an emergency relief fund for the employees who suffer from serious injury or illness and are unable to bear the medical expenses, or run into a poor financial situation due to unexpected happenings to the family and meet the requirements of assistance. Provide advice on the issues of getting along with the opposite sex, financial problems, bringing up children, or legal affairs. Provide employees with the advice on adaptation to the work, prevention of workplace bullying, and work management.

 

 

COVID-19 Prevention and Management Measures

The COVID-19 pandemic attacked the world in 2020 and produced great impact on the global economy, society and the health of the people.Facing the impact of the pandemic, protecting the health and safety of the employees and keeping the Company operating normally without suspending the production were the first priorities of Chipbond. For this, we started the prevention of the pandemic by establishing the “Chipbond Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens Prevention and Response Task Force” (hereinafter referred to as the “Prevention and Response Task Force”) to develop, implement and supervise relevant response plans and measures in line with the pandemic prevention policies of the government and competent authority. They were modified dynamically in accordance with the pandemic prevention measures of the Central Epidemic Command Center. We took the best preventive measures to cope with the threat of the pandemic.
