Planting trees is not only the simplest but also the most direct method to combat global warming. Chipbond Technology's "Sapling Long Stay Adoption Project," which was initiated in 2021, received enthusiastic responses from our colleagues. This year, we have expanded the event further.
The saplings purchased for this event were personally planted by residents of the Hua Guang Intelligent Development Center in Guanxi, Hsinchu. To nurture the residents' skills, the Hua Guang Foundation's teachers took them to mountainous areas like Jienshi and Wufeng to collect seeds of Taiwan's native tree species. These seeds were then brought back to the center and nurtured into saplings through the germination and repotting processes.
In 2022, during the Arbor Day event, we once again rallied our colleagues to adopt 600 saplings. Our aim is not only to contribute to greening and carbon reduction but also to lend a helping hand to the socially disadvantaged.
