Air Pollution Management

Due to the characteristics of Chipbond's manufacturing processes, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are the main air pollutants generated. The Company's air pollution control strategy prioritizes source management, implemented through comprehensive procedures such as the EHS Impact and Risk Assessment, EHS Change Management, and New Chemical Introduction Review. These measures help assess the potential for replacing raw materials to reduce VOC emissions. For production exhaust gases, organic and acid/alkaline gases are separated at the source and directed to dedicated pollution control equipment, effectively enhancing the overall treatment efficiency of the system.

In 2023 and 2024, Chipbond Technology installed zeolite concentrator rotor incineration systems at the Guangfu Plant and Lihsin Plant, respectively, to reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. In addition to the existing activated carbon adsorption towers and exhaust gas scrubbers, multiple air pollution control facilities are utilized to enhance treatment performance. The operating status of all systems is integrated into a centralized monitoring system, where dedicated personnel provide 24-hour monitoring to ensure stable operating conditions. To prevent abnormal emissions, all systems are equipped with emergency power supplies and backup systems, ensuring automatic takeover in the event of equipment failure and minimizing emission risks.
