Actions for Environmental Sustainability

Scientists warn that the world is facing a climate emergency. In recent years, “The WEF’s Global Risks Report” has specifically pointed out that the risks of "natural disasters and extreme climate" and "failure of climate change mitigation and adaptation" are major risks that humans will face the challenges in the next 2 to 10 years. We can clearly feel that extreme weather has gradually become normal in recent years. Drought or short-term heavy rainfall has gradually increased the risks faced by corporate operations. In order to slow down the speed of climate change, the Company has implemented energy conservation in operating activities. In addition to reducing carbon emissions, we also take the following environmentally sustainable actions:

Exploring the Water World" Environmental Education Program at Hsinchu Science Park Sewage Treatment Plant

Water is one of the Earth's most vital natural resources and the source of all life. Wastewater from human activities— domestic sewage, agricultural runoff, and industrial effluents—continuously cycles through the environment. If untreated wastewater is discharged into rivers, it causes pollution that threatens ecosystems and public health. Through collaboration with the Hsinchu Science Park Administration's sewage treatment plant, employees and their families participated in a field visit themed around "Water Olympics," "The Magical Journey of Sewage Treatment," and "Understanding Water Properties". Utilizing presentations, augmented reality (AR), guided tours, experiments, board games, and group discussions, participants learned about the magic of blackwater treatment and the critical role of sewage treatment plants. A total of 26 people joined this activity to learn water-saving and pollution-reduction tips and apply them in daily life, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Tree Planting Day – "Love Earth, Plants Trees"

Scientific research shows that "tree planting" is the simplest and most direct way to combat global warming. Through photosynthesis, trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, helping to mitigate flooding, purify water sources, stabilize soil, and regulate climate. Trees are an indispensable part of the Earth's ecosystem. In 2024, our company provided six native Taiwanese tree seedlings— "Lilac," "Japanese Black Pine," "Taiwan Lily," "Variegated Gardenia," "Chinese Tallow Tree," and "Sweet Osmanthus"—for employees to adopt. A total of 360 colleagues enthusiastically participated, joining efforts to plant trees and reduce carbon emissions, together building a sustainable green future!

Sponsorship of the 4th Taiwan Perovskite Technology and Application Forum

To promote innovation and application of renewable energy technologies, our company actively supports Taiwan's green energy development. We sponsored and participated in the "Taiwan Perovskite Technology and Application Forum," co-organized by the Taiwan Perovskite Research and Industry Alliance (TPRIA) and Chang Gung University. The forum focused on "Perovskite Mass Production Kick-off" and "Technology Trends and Commercial Applications". Through financial support, we aim to foster academic research innovation and scientific advancement. Our company believes that driving forward-looking technology development is a key part of corporate environmental responsibility. We will continue to invest in this field to create more value for society and the environment. This sponsorship amounted to NT$50,000, supporting the sustainable development of the renewable energy industry.
