Indicator and Goal |
Chipbond uses the following key indicators to set targets and metrics related to climate change issues:
Greenhouse Gas Inventory |
Greenhouse gas reduction is an important method for mitigating climate change and global warming. Greenhouse gas inventory allows for the identification of carbon emissions hotspots within business operations. Based on this information, effective measures and strategies can be assessed and implemented to achieve carbon reduction goals, the risk assessment categorizes this as a low-risk scenario. The category of greenhouse gas inventory for our company includes six operational locations of Chipbond in Taiwan. The organizational boundaries are set based on operational control, encompassing facilities managed or operated under our company. Prior to 2020, the greenhouse gas inventory data was obtained through internal inventory. Starting from 2021, we have engaged SGS Taiwan for third-party verification of the inventory data in accordance with the ISO 14064-3: 2006 standard for greenhouse gas verification. Detailed information is compiled as follows.

Overall, the Company's total Category 1 and Category 2 greenhouse gas emissions in 2024 amounted to 154,577.0766 metric tons of CO₂e. Due to increased production volume, emissions rose by 0.21% compared to the previous year despite the implementation of multiple energy-saving and carbon reduction measures; however, emissions have decreased by 9.77% compared to the base year (2021). Emission intensity also decreased by 1.18% from the previous year.
